In a major milestone for the company, VP Racing Fuels provided on-site fuel service Jan. 25-26 for the teams participating in the Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway, the inaugural event for the new Tudor United SportsCar Championship. As the Official Fuel Supplier for the Tudor Championship and its sanctioning body, the International Motor Sports Association, VP fueled every car from the pace car and the winning Action Express Racing Corvette to the last car across the finish line.

“Just as the pit crews worked round the clock in the pits and paddock, our team kept fuel flowing to all the teams throughout the race,” said Jim Kelly, VP’s Eastern Regional Manager-Race Fuel. Fuels provided by VP include its unleaded Motorsport 100 and E85, both blended with cellulosic ethanol in support of IMSA’s Green Racing platform.

The race marked the beginning of a new era as the first event for the TUDOR Championship, a series formed with the merger of the two previous major sports car racing series in the U.S. — American Le Mans and Grand Am. “We’re accustomed to fueling the 12 hours at Sebring, SuperDIRTWeek, the NHRA tour and many others, but the prestige and rewards of having our staff and race service rigs involved in this historic event were fantastic,” Kelly added.

In addition to the Tudor Championship, VP Racing Fuels is the Official Fuel Supplier of the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge and the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda, as well as the IMSA-sanctioned Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama series and the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America series.
