Pilot Travel Centers LLC is celebrating the reopening of its Flying J travel center in San Antonio, Texas after the store was lost to a fire in December 2022. The travel center is ready to serve drivers and the local community with brand-new amenities as well as some notable enhancements.
“Our team members are proud to welcome drivers back to this completely rebuilt Flying J travel center,” said Allison Cornish, senior vice president of store modernization and development at Pilot Travel Centers LLC. “We’re excited to be able to continue serving the East side of San Antonio and provide exceptional experiences to our guests.”
The Flying J travel center, located at 1815 N Foster Road, offers:
- Expanded food offerings, including fresh hot food and pizza
- Expanded restrooms and showers
- High-speed Wi-Fi
- Expanded lounge for professional drivers
- Efficient public laundry facilities
- A Southern Tire Mart at Pilot Flying J service center
To celebrate its reopening, Pilot Travel Centers LLC will be hosting a community event at the Flying J travel center on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. CST. Festivities include lawn games, giveaways, food samples and opportunities to win prizes and gas gift cards. The event will kick off with check presentations to the San Antonio Fire Department’s Public Education Program and the San Antonio Independent School District’s Construction Program. Team members will present a donation of $10k to each organization on behalf of Pilot Travel Centers LLC, as part of their store modernization initiative, New Horizons.

We are beyond grateful to the San Antonio Fire Department and first responders for their swift action during the fire and thank the San Antonio community for their ongoing support. During the rebuilding process, our team members from this store continued serving guests at nearby locations and are excited to
