CRUDE

Oil markets suffered heavy losses over the past 24 hours. Prices currently are in a holding pattern, with markets awaiting direction from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, who is scheduled to testify before Congress today. Crude oil prices currently are dipping below $68/b for the first time in three weeks. Last week, WTI crude prices shed $2.86/b, and crude prices today already have dropped another $3/b below Monday’s opening price.

WEST TEXAS INTERMEDIATE

WTI (West Texas Intermediate) crude prices opened on the NYMEX at $68.03/b today. Over the last 24-hour period from 9AM EST to 9AM EST, crude prices dropped sharply by $2.73/b. The latest price is $67.38/b.

DIESEL

Diesel opened on the NYMEX at $2.0586/gallon today. Over the last 24-hour period from 9AM EST to 9AM EST, diesel prices dropped by 2.4 cents/gallon. The latest price is $2.055/gallon.

GASOLINE

Gasoline opened on the NYMEX at $2.006 today. Over the last 24-hour period from 9AM EST to 9AM EST, gasoline prices dropped sharply by 9.33 cents/gallon. The latest price is $2.004/gallon.
