Platts_Logo_537Delta Air Lines expects to see its first profitability in 2014 from the Trainer, Pennsylvania, refinery it bought in 2012 on the back of cheaper domestic crudes, executives said, according to energy information service Platts.

Delta unit Monroe Energy, which operates the refinery, benefits from using cost-advantaged domestic crudes in lieu of its traditionally more expensive Brent-linked imports from West Africa and Russia, the company said during its “investor day.”
