The Make Dreams Real Endowment Fund Advisory Board has selected grant award recipients for the 2016 funding cycle. Matching grants that align with the Make Dreams Real mission were awarded in amounts up to $10,000. The mission of the Make Dreams Real Endowment fund is making dreams real for school-aged children in Stanislaus County through participation in programs that enrich and stimulate their minds and bodies and teach values through service learning. The service learning aspect of the grant award encourages and establishes a process of accountability and volunteerism in the community. Children who participate in the supported programs, and their families, are encouraged to volunteer within the program, fundraise and help with community events.
The Make Dreams Real Advisory Board has awarded a grand total of $166,400 during this grant cycle to the following 18 programs serving Stanislaus County:
- National Ag Science Center, Jr. Scientist Expansion Program
- Tuolumne River Trust, TRAC- Tuolumne River Adventure Camp
- Juline Foundation, Outreach Dance Program- Everett School
- United Way/Center for Human Services, Graduation Coach Program
- Modesto Symphony Orchestra, Carnegie Link-Up Program
- Court Appointed Advocates of Stanislaus County (C.A.S.A.), Children’s Fund
- Society for Disabilities, Adapted Bike Camp
- The First Tee of the Central Valley- DRIVE Program
- Salida Union School District-Salida Middle School, Foothill Horizons Outdoor Education Camp
- Stanislaus Union School District, Foothill Horizons Outdoor Education Camp
- Empire Union School District, Foothill Horizons Outdoor Education Camp
- Cardozo Middle School, Foothill Horizons Outdoor Education Camp
- Riverbank Language Academy, Foothill Horizons Outdoor Education Camp

The 28th Annual Make Dreams Real Endowment Fund Golf Tournament has been tentatively scheduled Thursday, May 18, 2017. This event raises funds to build the endowment fund for future grant awards.
