Vapor Systems Technologies, Inc. (VST) has announced our latest approval in Mexico. The Mexico Petroleum Institute (IMP) has evaluated, tested, and approved the VST Platinum Central Vacuum System as meeting the requirements of the Official Mexican Standard NOM-004-ASEA-2017.

NOM-004-ASEA-2017 is Mexico’s current Official Standard focused on gasoline vapor recovery systems for the control of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) emissions to the atmosphere at gasoline dispensing facilities (GDF) selling gasoline to the public.

The VST Platinum Central Vacuum System is an integrated system that controls the release of GDF fugitive VOC emissions. This comprehensive system includes all of the necessary hanging hardware for dispensing fuel; including state-of-the-art dripless vapor recovery fueling nozzles, hoses, safety breakaways, and is combined with our GREEN MACHINE™ vapor processor that continuously monitors and controls the pressure in the underground storage tanks (UST).

VST’s Platinum Central Vacuum System incorporates several advantages from our California Air Resources Board (CARB) enhanced vapor recovery product certifications. CARB and IMP testing have each demonstrated a 98% reduction in forecourt emissions from the hanging hardware, while the GREEN MACHINE™ has achieved a 99% efficiency rating through 3rd party independent testing and evaluation. The combined environmental impact of these products will allow Mexico the ability to reduce their VOC emissions by multiple thousands of tons annually.

By combining the USA (CARB) and Mexico (IMP) regulations into one system, and with the VST remote monitoring technology break through, the VST Platinum Central Vacuum System is the most comprehensive system in the world.

VST has dedicated 30 years to innovative development, engineering, manufacturing, sales, and solutions aimed at improving the fueling station experience, as well as the world’s air and water quality. For more details go to www.vsthose.com.
