Green Valley Grocery, a longtime staple in Southern Nevada staple and community convenience store founded by Richard T. Crawford, announced today the signing of a definitive agreement to be acquired by Anabi Oil, a privately held, family-owned leader in fuel distribution and convenience retail. The acquisition includes 87 Green Valley Grocery locations across Southern Nevada.

Founded in 1978, Green Valley Grocery began with a single store at Green Valley Parkway and Sunset Road, serving construction workers and tradespeople who were building the community.

Over nearly five decades, Crawford grew the company into a household name recognized for customer service, convenience, and community support. From sponsoring the Vegas Golden
Knights to investing in youth development, healthcare, and the arts, Crawford and his wife, Jeri, have left a lasting philanthropic footprint in Southern Nevada that continues to benefit the community.

“It’s humbling to remember myself as a paper boy back in my teens, which is one of the best ways to learn how to run a business and stay accountable as a young man,” says Crawford. “When I first came to Las Vegas in the 1970s, I saw so much potential, and I’m glad to say that I was right. Nevada is a state made for small business growth. This is an amazing city, and a wonderful community, and I’m fortunate to have been able to begin and run a business that has been a part of so many Las Vegans’ lives.”

For Anabi Oil, the acquisition represents both growth and stewardship. Founded in 1991 when Sam Anabi started with a single gas station, the company has grown into one of the nation’s
leading family-owned operators, recognized for its Rebel brand and its innovation and trust in the convenience industry.

“Green Valley Grocery has been a cornerstone of Las Vegas for nearly 50 years, and we are honored to carry that legacy forward,” said Sam Anabi, Founder and Owner of Anabi Oil. “This acquisition is about our long-term commitment to Nevada: keeping the Green Valley Grocery name alive, strengthening Rebel’s place in the community, and continuing to invest in the future of convenience for the families and neighborhoods we serve.”

Anabi Oil is set to acquire Green Valley Grocery, pending customary approvals. Green Valley Grocery and Rebel each bring unique strengths to the Las Vegas market, and the combined
network will drive innovation, expand loyalty programs, and create efficiencies that position the business to honor Green Valley Grocery’s legacy while investing in its future.
