Prevention of falls from heights is a concern at many job sites. Various heights require different types of fall protection. For example, the general industry height is 4 feet above a lower level. For construction, the height is 6 feet above a lower level. On scaffolding, fall protection is required at 10 feet. In addition to falls from heights, OSHA addresses walking working surfaces that can cause slips or trips on ground surfaces that are uneven or cluttered with debris.
