Today at the NACS Show, P97 Networks announced that Microsoft Dynamics® AX R3 hosted and managed Point-of-Sale (POS) with P97’s PetroZone Retail Fuels Module is now available for deployment to oil companies and retail merchants. P97, a leading provider of mobile commerce solutions, is one of a select group of Global Independent Software Vendors (GISV) and the only partner in the program serving the convenience and retail fueling industry.

Microsoft Dynamics AX R3, including a new modern POS was demonstrated on the latest Windows 8.1 tablet device at the PetroZone solution showcase and private reception hosted at NACS. The demo of the cloud based Software as a Service (SaaS) offering included Microsoft Dynamics AX and PetroZone Retail Fuels Module.

“Oil companies and convenience retail and fueling merchants are facing unprecedented challenges in terms of delivery models, competition, compliance, funding and an increased focus on outcomes,” said Don Frieden, CEO of P97 Networks. “The industry is looking for a way to effectively address these issues and has been impeded by legacy systems. Microsoft Dynamics AX and our PetroZone Retail Fuel Module provides a flexible and agile solution leveraging leading Microsoft technology. The time is right for this offering, as companies chart their long-term course to address current barriers to success. This new and modern Microsoft point of sale platform will enable support for new global EuroPay, MasterCard and Visa (EMV) chip cards and provide a marketing platform which enables real-time digital offers and mobile commerce. As a hosted solution, Dynamics AX can be deployed and supported for a fraction of the cost as of traditional POS systems, while enabling customers to rapidly deploy new marketing innovations for their consumers.”

“Through our Global ISV initiative, we identified a critical need to support the convenience retail and fuels market sector and found a best-in-class and experienced partner in P97 Networks with an aggressive product roadmap and complimentary vision,” said Doug Kennedy, Vice President Partner and Channel Marketing Microsoft Business Solutions.

Frieden continued, “Our strategic relationship with Microsoft allows P97 to provide the retail fuels market with a comprehensive and flexible solution built upon the trusted Microsoft Dynamics AX platform.
