Promising action on climate change during the Obama administration’s remaining years, EPA administrator Gina McCarthy cited economic as well as environmental reasons, according to news reports. Speaking at Harvard Law School on July 30, the newly confirmed head of the Environmental Protection Agency decried what she called a “false choice” between environmental health and economic health presented by those who oppose regulation, according to a report by Alvin Powell of the Harvard Gazette.
