Larry Rambeaux, sales manager at Purkeys, a battery solutions company located in Lowell, Ark., was chosen this year for the Silver Spark Plug award by the Technology Maintenance Council (TMC). Rambeaux has been actively involved with the council for years and regularly assists with the writing of recommended practices and task force groups.
The Silver Spark Plug award is the highest honor delivered by TMC and is given in recognition of an individual’s outstanding contributions to the cause of improving heavy-duty vehicle maintenance.
Rambeaux has accumulated more than 25 years of experience in the heavy-duty trucking industry. In 2013, he earned the accolade of Recognized Associate Award from TMC. He is passionate about using this experience to assist customers in identifying ways to improve their systems and how to prevent, and resolve, fleet-based electrical issues. In his free time, Rambeaux enjoys traveling and working on cars.
The purpose of TMC is to improve transport equipment, its maintenance and maintenance management. TMC develops recommended engineering and maintenance practices that are voluntarily adopted by fleets, original equipment manufacturers, and components suppliers. TMC also conducts industry surveys and promotes the voluntary cooperation among designers, equipment manufacturers, and end-users.
