Husky Corporation, which recently added BJE tank monitoring systems and Hewitt aviation products to its fuel nozzle and accessory business, has appointed Doug Payne to the position of manager of independent channels. In the newly created position, Payne will identify market growth opportunities for the company’s product line in the automotive, Internet, agriculture, catalog, and commercial channels of distribution.

Doug Payne SQPayne is deeply knowledgeable about the automotive aftermarket, having held sales and management positions at NAPA, a division of Genuine Parts Company, where he rose to Western Regional Sales Manager. Payne held nationally oriented sales and management positions at Rockford Products Corporation, Thermadyne Industries Inc., and Port-A-Cool LLC where he focused on customer acquisition through new distribution channels.

“We are excited to have Doug on our team to develop new relationships for Husky, BJE, and Hewitt products with non-PEI customers,” said Husky Executive Vice President Brad Baker. “There are significant growth opportunities for our current product line and our new offerings that solve customer problems.”

“Husky is exactly the right company for me. They have great products for independent customers. We will show how our product innovation meets marketplace needs,” Payne said.

A West Virginia native who graduated from Glenville State College, Payne has lived with his wife and son for the past eight years in Pacific, Missouri.

Husky Corporation, headquartered in Pacific, Missouri, provides petroleum-dispensing products, including nozzles for vapor recovery, conventional fueling, truck and high-volume, farm and commercial, and convenience stores.
