On this Earth Day, Growth Energy is proud to represent an industry that is committed to improving our environment and developing 21st century fuels for 21st century vehicles. Biofuels, like ethanol, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and are cleaner burning fuels. Ethanol improves our environment and helps clean the air we, our children and future generations breathe.

On Earth Day, as Secretary Kerry travels to New York to sign the United Nations climate deal, it is critical to remember that the Renewable Fuel Standard is the only policy in place that is taking meaningful steps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In addition to supporting this environmentally friendly policy, Growth Energy has been actively engaged in trade missions all over the world to bring clean burning fuel to other nations to help them meet their carbon reduction goals.

“Our industry is committed to taking steps to mitigate harmful greenhouse gas emissions that have been shown to be a driving force in environmental damage,” noted Tom Buis, co-chair of Growth Energy. “That is why we are committed to producing clean, green, renewable and biodegradable fuels that are reducing our dependence on fossil fuels and are better for our environment,” Buis added.
