Ebsray® Pumps Pty. Ltd., part of PSG®, a Dover company, and a global leader in the design and manufacture of regenerative turbine and positive displacement pump technologies, is pleased to announce a new mechanical-seal assembly for its RC Series Regenerative Turbine Pumps. This new seal assembly is a direct replacement for the existing seal assembly on the RC20, RC25 and RC40 pump models, with no other part changes required.
The construction of the new seal assembly utilizes the pump’s existing cartridge, but incorporates a new multi-spring design, a silicon carbide (SiC) stationary face, a carbon rotating face and FKM O-ring elastomers that are rated for use in temperatures as low as -40ºF (-40ºC). This new construction improves the seal’s ability to handle extreme operating conditions; perform more reliably during dry-run operation; and reduce emissions under normal operating conditions. This seal upgrade also keeps the RC Series pumps in compliance with Underwriters Laboratories (UL) UL51, ATEX and AS1596 operating codes.
Ebsray RC Series pumps with the new mechanical-seal assembly will be on display in Booth No. 1113 at the upcoming National Propane Gas Association’s (NPGA) Southeastern Convention & International Propane Expo, which will be held from April 13-15, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA, USA. At the show, Ebsray will be sharing its booth space with PSG sister brand Blackmer®, a global leader in sliding vane pump and reciprocating compressor technologies.
