Crystal Flash™ has welcomed experienced safety professional Kevin Kobbins as its senior environmental and safety manager.

In his new role, Kobbins will lead the employee-owned energy distributor’s development and training activities related to product, service and environmental safety.
“We are delighted to welcome Kevin to our team to spearhead our environmental and safety efforts,” said President and CEO Tom Olive. “Safety for people and the environment is one of our core values and continues to be a central part of our growth plan. Kevin’s familiarity with Crystal Flash, paired with his passion for safety and compliance of the propane and refined fuels industries, make him the ideal candidate for this new role.”

Prior to joining Crystal Flash, Kobbins served as the district manager for AmeriGas, where he managed propane operations and growth of two districts in the northern lower peninsula of Michigan. Kevin also served as project manager for Superior Energy Systems, overseeing construction of butane and propane terminals across the Midwest and East Coast.

“I am excited and honored to be joining Crystal Flash,” Kobbins said. “The company is well-respected as a leader in energy distribution, not only in Michigan but around the country.”

Kobbins holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University. He has worked in a variety of management roles in the energy distribution segment prior joining Crystal Flash and was a journeyman member of United Association of Pipefitters and Steamfitters in Southern California. He also has his Michigan Mechanical License, his NACE underground Liquid Propane Tank Inspection License and his Flight Instructor License.

He and his wife, Cindy, currently reside in Traverse City.
