About five years ago, Apache Corp. started building fueling stations for its fleet of trucks that run on natural gas. Today the independent oil and gas company has retail and company-only Apache natural gas stations in four states, reports The Advocate.

Frank Chapel, director of natural gas transportation fuels for Apache, said 510 of the company’s 1,100 company trucks run on the clean-burning fuel that sells for half of what gasoline costs at the pump, reports Billy Gunn in The Advocate.
