GetUpside announced the official launch of their new C-Store product during the annual National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) conference. Instead of waiting on passive foot traffic, C-Store merchants can now actively encourage customers to cross-shop from the fuel pump into the C-Store.

The new GetUpside C-Store product is now available to merchant partners nationwide and GetUpside is speaking to current and prospective partners about it during the NACS conference this week in Atlanta.

Beta test results show that C-Store product users go from pump to C-Store two times more often than customers without GetUpside. Sixty percent of those users had never been to the C-Store before. Meanwhile, existing customers choose to put 20 percent more in their baskets than they normally would. With this increase in pump-to-store conversion and basket size, C-Store merchants earn a 50 percent return on investment.

“Over the last few years, we have become experts in helping fuel partners succeed. We bring millions of profitable, incremental gallons to our partners. It was natural for us to develop a C-Store product that drives more customers to all parts of our partners’ businesses,” said Alex Kinnier, GetUpside Co-Founder and CEO.

Using personalized offers delivered through the mobile app, GetUpside incentivizes new customers to visit gas stations on the platform, and existing customers to visit more often. While customers are at the pump, GetUpside’s mobile app sends real-time notifications that capitalize on moments to bring them inside the C-Store. Once they are inside, GetUpside’s machine learning platform recommends bundles to further increase basket sizes.

The GetUpside platform quickly combs through the anonymized card information that merchants already have to allow them to personalize each customer’s experience, just like an online retailer would. Personalization allows merchants to maintain competitive public sign prices while interacting with each individual customer privately through the GetUpside mobile app.

By closely monitoring margins and moving with merchants, the platform does not generate personalized offers on extraordinarily low-margin products. This guarantees that every transaction through GetUpside is profitable for the merchant, while allowing customers to benefit too. Merchants on GetUpside see their results in real-time, showing them the exact value that GetUpside is bringing to their business. Moreover, the platform also integrates well with existing, branded merchant apps.

GetUpside is currently available at more than 14,000 locations in 41 states throughout the U.S., including some of the country’s largest metro areas like Atlanta, New York, Washington, DC, Baltimore, Charlotte, Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Miami, Austin, Houston, Indianapolis, Detroit, Minneapolis, and Chicago.

GetUpside personalizes brick-and-mortar commerce to help communities thrive. As we connect millions of drivers with over 14,000 businesses, merchants make more profit, consumers get more purchasing power, and value is driven back to our communities. We don’t just prove it, we guarantee it.
