For the second year in a row, 7-Eleven has its customers’ backs by collaborating with National Night Out®, a community-building campaign to promote safer neighborhoods. Participating stores in North CarolinaSouth CarolinaSouthern Virginia and West Virginia will leverage in-store promotions on Aug. 7 as part of the sponsorship. In conjunction with programs and events like National Night Out, 7-Eleven continuously supports community safety throughout the neighborhoods it serves and aims to promote a positive relationship with local law enforcement and community members.

On Aug. 7, customers who visit a participating 7-Eleven® store between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. can mention National Night Out for a free small beverage. The promotion includes a free small coffee, Gulp®fountain drink and Slurpee® semi-frozen beverage.

“Serving the communities in which we operate is at the forefront of our business,” said Dorian Cunion, zone vice president of 7-Eleven, Inc. “We constantly strive to be a great neighbor and are proud to be a part of National Night Out.”

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign, created by the National Association of Town Watch, to promote police-community relationships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer.

In addition to the National Night Out sponsorship, 7-Eleven Inc. has joined forces with local law enforcement through Operation Chill, a program designed to reduce crime and enhance relations between police and youth. The program allows law enforcement officers to “ticket” youth they observe doing good deeds or exhibiting positive behavior. Since its inception in 1995, 21 million coupons have been distributed to officers through Operation Chill.
