The U.S. should use as much gas as possible domestically before sending liquefied natural gas abroad, Representative Gene Green, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee, said, according to Platts, an information service for energy and other markets.

“I want us to use all we can, whether it is for my chemical industry, for transportation fuel, even [for] fracking, and then we want to sell the rest,” Green, Democrat-Texas, said at a Natural Gas Roundtable event in Washington, Platts reports.
