President Barack Obama will likely veto a bill aimed speeding up natural gas pipeline approvals – if it ever makes it to his desk, the White House said.
The bill, H.R. 1900, is expected to be voted on by the House of Representatives on Nov. 21, reports energy information service Platts. The bill was introduced by Representative Mike Pompeo, Republican-Kansas, and would require the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to approve or deny a gas pipeline permit within one year of receiving a complete application, reports Brian Scheid of Platts.
