Tom Kloza, chief oil analyst for the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS), is scheduled to give a keynote presentation at the Southern New England Energy Conference at the Mohegan Sun Casino, Uncasville, Conn., during lunch on Thursday, Sep. 19. Kloza will discuss energy markets and prices.

The two-day conference will also feature 30 other breakout sessions covering a wide range of topics, including propane, biofuels, service, finances, human resources, customer service, motor fuels and more.

Tom Santa, Santa Energy, will talk about the impact terminal closures will have on New England, plus the supply situation as the region moves to heating oil with sulfur content of 500 ppm to heating oil with sulfur content of 15 ppm. Paul Nazzarro of Advanced Fuel Solutions and the National Biodiesel Board will discuss fuel quality and navigating the supply chain with Bioheat. Alan Levine, formerly with Morgan Stanley, will also discuss oil, propane and gas markets and prices, and will present his outlook for the 2013-14 winter season.

There will be over 20 vendors with table-top exhibits. Every attendee will receive a complimentary raffle ticket for prizes, including a 55″ flat-screen television sponsored by Hedge Solutions. The casino itself offers many dining and entertainment options, and in the spirit of the venue, there will be an informal Texas Hold’em poker competition at the hospitality suite after hours on Thursday, Sept. 19 from 9 p.m., sponsored by Tiger Payment Solutions and Noble Technology Solutions.
