National Oilwell Varco (NOV) introduced the industry’s first fiberglass riser pipe to its portfolio of fuel handling solutions. Fiberglass riser pipe eliminates the risk of corrosion, meaning customers do not have to worry about stuck tools that won’t fit through the riser. In addition to corrosion resistance as a primary benefit, the new riser pipe also accommodates most standard tools, like drop tubes, fill tubes, and overfill prevention valves, and uses a greater wall thickness to better withstand surface loading. Both the pipe and adapters are made from NOV’s industry-standard Red Thread™ IIA pipe, drawing on a rich history of longevity and performance in fuel handling applications.
