As reported in The Tennessean and other news outlets Pilot Flying J President Mark Hazelwood resigned on May 19. Specifics of the resignation were not made public. Scott Wombold, vice president of national accounts has also left the company.

The well publicized Pilot Flying J rebate scandal has already resulted in an $85 million settlement and 10 guilty pleas from lower-level company employees. Hazelwood has not been charged in criminal court to date, but has been named in civil cases.
