McDonald’s wants to evict Gulf gas station operators on Route 128 in Massachusetts after they failed to pay rent and stopped selling gas for about five hours, without warning, according to news reports.

But a bankruptcy filing has put the fast-food giant’s plans on hold; A&E 128 North and A&E 128 South filed for bankruptcy protection on Nov. 3, less than two hours before the McDonald’s order to vacate took effect, reports the Boston Herald’s Donna Goodison.
