Many fuel retailers across North America are facing one of the biggest shifts in their business model in decades—EV charger installations at their sites. Aside from where and when to install chargers, the next consideration is the best way to install.
The Electric Vehicle Council in collaboration with NACS, has created the EV Charging MatchMaking List, a compilation of organizations supporting a wide array of ways to address the installation of electric vehicle service equipment (EVSE) at fuel retail locations.
The list includes companies that:
- Do It for You: these providers fund, install, and operate the EVSE at site host locations. They are fully funded, CPO owned, and provide turnkey operations, including installation, network to the utilities, operations and maintenance.
- Offer A Helping Hand: for retailers that want to operate their own charging programs but might need technical assistance for installation of EVSE or future proofing stores.
The List provides a wide variety of a la carte services, such as EVSE manufacturers as well as white label providers, installers, network software companies, operations, maintenance and even payment and loyalty programs.
“Retailers are focusing a lot of attention on installing EVSE at their locations. The MatchMaking List helps provide options for retailers to help them decide how best to approach and implement the installation process,” states Karl Doenges, Executive Director, Charging Analytics Program. “Many of the providers are members of the Electric Vehicle Council and NACS, so retailers can feel comfortable knowing they are working with the best companies in the business.
The MatchMaking List is free and updated regularly to provide the most up to date list of providers.
