Leighton O’Brien, a leading fuel analytics software and field technologies company, announced the appointment of Chris Cooper, Global President of Leighton O’Brien’s Field Technologies division.

A key strategic appointment, Cooper will head up the newly merged Australian and International Field Technologies business unit including precision integrity testing and fuel cleaning. The USA will remain a separate entity under President Jeff Davis. Mr Cooper will be responsible for driving strategy and significantly accelerating revenue growth.

Cooper is a proven business leader and innovator with a strong track record of demonstrating business growth in close alignment with distributors and partners and a reputation for developing business aligned against key strategic drivers.

He joins Leighton O’Brien after more than six years in key strategic planning, sales and management roles within the Dover Corporation and six years in commercial and business development roles at Gilbarco Veeder Root, based in Dubai.

Most recently he was General Manager, Asia, for Dover Fueling Solutions, with full P&L and strategic account responsibility, and has a broad background in downstream refueling through involvement with businesses such as OPW and Liquip International.

In other key developments, Jason Park has been appointed Global General Manager of Operations (Field Technologies), working closely with Mr Cooper to assist oil companies with best asset lifecycle management of their storage tank assets.

Toby Griffin, formerly General Manager of Leighton O’Brien’s Australian Field Technologies business, will move into a Product Management role within the R&D division to drive IoT and new technology developments.

Cooper will be based at Leighton O’Brien’s Australian head office in Melbourne.
