Through its US subsidiary, the Spanish company has designed this innovative automatic machine to ensure safe and controlled sanitization and maximize the efficiency in washing the interiors of refrigerated and dry van trailers, as well as shipping containers.
Designed out of the growing need to automate cleaning and sanitizing the inside of trailers and box containers, the ISTOBAL HW’INTRAWASH allows operators to maximize their efficiency in cleaning and sanitizing transport fleets. It dramatically decreases cleaning time, as well as water and chemical usage by utilizing a high-pressure pumping system to deliver 33 gpm at 1100 psi and a highly accurate chemical dosing system in line with concentration, quantity and reaction time requirements for each transport fleet.
Easy to install and simple to use, ISTOBAL HW’INTRAWASH can clean a 53’ trailer in as little as 3 minutes, and clean and sanitize in 6 minutes. Compared to a manual wash process, the machine cleans 75% faster and with a better control of chemical products. Developed by ISTOBAL and patent pending, its multiple programs can be adapted to the requirements of speed or cleaning in the vehicle interior, allowing each unit to receive the wash program needed. ISTOBAL HW’INTRAWASH can clean the interior of up to 53’ foot long vehicles and can work with two different chemical products to be selected depending on the type of cargo to wash and/or disinfect.
This automatic equipment consists of a fixed base, with an elevator platform or with lateral movement as an option, and can be installed in many ways, including outdoors, in a wash bay or on a loading dock. Its set of stainless steel guides are moved by a conveyor motor controlled by a frequency converter that regulates speeds on each program pass. This equipment has an optional stainless-steel hopper to collect waste from the interior wash process and incorporates a self-rinsing arch that keeps the unit clean.
