Operating primarily out of a couple of Petron service stations, the Fund’s team began by giving fuel to the government and non-government organizations so that they could conduct operations to aid local people. Next, fuel was provided to local residents. Fuel Relief Fund is in the process of finalizing logistics to begin mobile operations in order to expand the area of relief, it said in a press release.

Fuel Relief Fund is a global, non-profit organization that provides free fuel immediately after major disasters. It has responded to incidents including Hurricane Katrina, the earthquake in Haiti, Japan’s earthquake and tsunami disaster, a major earthquake in Turkey, and Hurricane Sandy.
