PDI, a leading provider of enterprise-class automation software systems to the convenience retail, petroleum marketing, and foodservice industries, today announced that Englefield Oil Company, Inc. has completed its rollout of PDI/Warehouse Inventory. Englefield, which operates a chain of 123 Duchess Shoppe convenience stores and is one of the largest independent fuel and lube suppliers in Ohio, implemented the warehouse management software in all its warehouses.

PDI/Warehouse Inventory provides petroleum marketers a sophisticated inventory and reporting system that effectively manages every phase in the supply chain from ordering to reconciliation. With recent enhancements to its ordering and billing features, the software now includes better order forecasting and support for national accounts and buybacks.

“The PDI warehouse management software allows us to collect and analyze our warehouse data on a daily basis, which we expect will result in more effective forecasting, greater ordering efficiency, and enhanced vendor relationship management through improved delivery and credit tracking for our buyback programs,” says Chris Beem, CFO for Englefield. “In addition, by using the complete PDI software package, we can compile enterprise-wide financial information and develop budgets and forecasts for our multi-segment operation.”

Improvements to PDI’s warehouse management software are the latest result of the technology company’s ongoing push to enhance its wholesale petroleum product suite. “We have nearly 180 petroleum marketing customers and, and just like for our retail customers, we’re dedicated to providing them with the best tools to run their operations efficiently and profitably,” says Grace Chambers, PDI’s fuel development manager. “This is just the beginning of a number of new wholesale innovations.”
