Dollar General, Goodlettsville, Tenn., announced the opening of its first fuel station in a market test. The new fuel pumps are located at the Dollar General Market in Hanceville, Ala.
The project is part of an agreement with Mansfield Oil, which provides fuel supply, distribution, delivery, and dispensing solutions. Dollar General and Mansfield will evaluate the results of the pilot project over the next year and jointly assess expansion opportunities, the companies said in a statement.
Dollar General Corporation has more than 11,000 stores in 40 states.
Mansfield Oil is headquartered in Gainesville, Ga., with regional operations centers in Chicago, Detroit, Denver, Los Angeles, Houston and Calgary; renewable energy operations are in Bloomington, Minn.
