A movement is under way to put a ballot measure before Colorado voters in November that would give local governments the power to ban or restrict oil and gas drilling, reports the Daily Camera.
The effort, which would be an amendment to the state constitution, is known as the “Right to Local Self-Government Act.” It is being pushed by the nascent Colorado Community Rights Network, reports John Aguilar of the Daily Camera.
