Aloha Petroleum, Ltd. recently hosted an appreciation event in honor of  retiring Kahala Shell owner Madeleine Snow and previous owner Bill Green. The celebration also included the presentation of the Golden Nozzle awards to Snow and Green by Aloha Petroleum CEO Richard Parry.

“This is the end of an era at Kahala Shell,” said Parry. “Bill and Madeleine have been fixtures within this community for the last 34 years, with Madeleine taking over as owner from Bill in 2000. We have enjoyed a highly professional relationship with Madeleine and she has represented the Shell brand extremely well over the years. We’re very sorry to see her go.”

Snow will be retiring as owner of the Kahala Shell location on August 31, 2014, following the end of her current lease term. Snow has been with the company for 34 years, including 14 years as owner. As of August 1, the location discontinued oil changes and auto repairs. Aloha Petroleum, Ltd. will continue to operate the station under the Shell brand. The station is scheduled to be razed and rebuilt as part of a master plan development during late 2016.  Once the station is rebuilt, plans are to continue in the location as a Shell gasoline only operation.
