HamiltonJournalNews_sqOwners of hundreds of gas stations along critical roads are tapping into New York State grants to pay for wiring and generators that will allow them to run on backup power during emergencies, reports The Journal News.

Grants of $10,000 or $13,000 are being made available to more than 1,500 gas stations in Long Island, New York City and its northern suburbs, reports Khurram Saeed of The Journal News.
