Bennett Pump Company announced today that it has been selected by Shell to supply LNG fuel dispensers for Liquefied Natural Gas fueling stations across the United States.

Earlier this month, Shell and Travel Centers of America (TA) announced the opening of their first LNG station in Ontario, California. This station is the first of the Shell and TA agreement to sell LNG to heavy-duty road transport customers in the US at TA and Petro fueling centers. The station is open to the public and features two fueling lanes that provide LNG customers with a familiar fueling experience when using the Bennett LNG dispensers. The remaining LNG fueling stations will be built across North America in a phased approach, based on customer demand at existing truck stop sites with the intention of adding dispensers alongside existing diesel fueling lanes.

“We are pleased to be a part of this exciting project to put an LNG fueling network in place”, said Tom Thompson, President of Bennett Pump Company. “We have worked closely with Shell and their partners to deliver a safe and viable alternative fuel option for long-haul transport.”

With demand growing for more fuel choices, Bennett now offers a full line of dispensers for alternative fuels including; DEF, Flex Fuel (ethanol blends), bio-diesel, LNG, CNG and Hydrogen.

Commercial customers are actively exploring fuel alternatives, especially those fuels that can provide financial and environmental benefits. LNG delivers both and large fleet operators like UPS, Federal Express and others are taking notice. Even many regional operators are taking advantage of the value that Liquefied Natural Gas can provide. Additional LNG benefits include; lower fuel costs, reduced engine noise levels, improved local air quality and virtually no risk of ground contamination.
