The results are in for Aloha Petroleum, Ltd.’s Military Appreciation Month fundraiser for Hope for the Warriors! Thanks to the generosity of its customers, Aloha Island Marts throughout the state raised $5,224.39 for the non-profit organization that assists wounded military personnel, veterans and their family members through a wide range of care programs, such as career transition, clinical health and wellness and educational opportunities.
Funds were collected through Aloha Island Mart’s in-store canister collections and the sale of Spam Musubi. More than 16,630 Spam Musubi were sold in the month of May, with a portion of the proceeds from each sale donated to the non-profit organization.
“We couldn’t be more proud of our customers for supporting the men and women in uniform who protect our country,” said Richard Parry, president and CEO of Aloha Petroleum. “The Aloha our customers continue to show for non-profit organizations within our community is awe-inspiring, and we are truly thankful for their generosity and support.”
Along with the fundraising opportunity, Aloha Petroleum also offered a special fuel discount as part of its Military Appreciation Month Program in May, which allowed all active military, their dependents and military veterans to save 10 cents per gallon on fuel.
